Day 42 - Yucca Valley to Paso Robles

We can't leave the Yucca Valley without a visit to Frontier Coffee. Once again we share one of their awesome breakie sandwiches.

A group with a wild ride arrives. They want breakie sands too.

Out of the blue – a crazy sandstorm stirs.

The tumbleweeds roll.

Arrival in the Apple Valley. We turn north towards Barstow, but there's no break from the relentless winds and sand.

Upon investigation later in the day, we discover the winds around Barstow during our Mohave crossing were sustained at 40 with gusts to 60. That's MPH!!

I'm not sure this one counts – but it really looks like 99 cents for a single here in Mohave.

Even the SS Minow is tired of the winds.

Blue Sky and white clouds as we hit John 16. ??

Deep in the oil fields, there is BW Implement.

The pumps serve our insatiable appetite for oil, right in the backyard of Teslaland.

We make it to Paso in time for Spearhead coffee and Mexican wedding cookies. We have survived. Our windscreen will likely need replacing. We could save it as an art piece – "etched by sand".
